StdFormNew Event

Occurs when the user clicks New on the Actions menu.

The default implementation creates a new instance of an object in the current collection or subcollection and initializes it with default values.

In a basic form without a subcollection or custom event handlers, the default implementation fires the following sequence of standard events:

• StdFormNew
• StdFormGetBoundValues
• StdFormPerformValidations
• StdFormValidationsCompleted
• StdObjectNew
• StdObjectSelectCurrent
• StdObjectSelectCurrentCompleted
• StdObjectNewCompleted
• StdFormLoadBoundValues
• StdFormLoadDerivedValues
• StdFormNewCompleted

Your application can call the default implementation by generating the event.

Remarks

The default implementation is a form-level operation.

A StdObjectNew event is fired before an object in a collection or a subcollection is created.
