Importing Documents (Files)

You can import a document (file) without necessarily attaching it to a record in a collection. This can be useful when you have a document that you know you want to attach to one or more records at some point but not at this time.

To import a document:

  1. Open the Documents form.
  2. Select Actions > New.
  3. In the appropriate fields, specify:
  4. Click Import.
  5. Use the Import dialog box to navigate to, select, and open the file to import.
  6. Save.
