Unit Code (1-4)

Enter or select a unit code for each segment you use.

NOTE: The system is set up to take the departmental unit code (Unit Code 1) and use it in the account default, whenever a particular work center uses a department.

On the Import Journal Entries form, unit codes should be mapped to journal unit codes that are set to Accessible. The following rules apply when using unit codes on this form:

• If specified or imported unit codes are not mapped to journal unit codes that are set to Accessible, an error message is displayed and the data is not saved to the journal.  You must correct the data in the grid before it can be saved to the journal.
• If specified or imported unit codes are mapped to No Access journal unit codes, unusable data is not imported into the database and instead a Null value is saved. No error message is displayed.
• If specified or imported unit codes are Null and mapped to Required journal unit codes, an error message is displayed and the data is not saved to the journal. You must enter the correct data in the grid before it can be saved to the journal.
