Perform Additional Validation

Select the type of data entry validation for the system to perform when you enter invalid data for a job transaction.

These validation checks can prevent you from entering incorrect quantities on the following types of transactions, allowing you to correct the errors before posting the transactions:

Error Messages

The validation checks can display the following error messages (values in brackets [] are sample values):

Messages for Unposted Job Transactions
Message Description
Completed is not equal to [25] for Job Transaction that has [Oper: 10]. The operation is Complete and the (transaction quantity Completed) does not equal the (job quantity Released) - (operation quantity already Completed) - (total operation quantity Scrapped) - (transaction quantity Scrapped)
Completed is greater than [25] for Job Transaction that has [Oper: 10]. The operation is not Complete and the (transaction quantity Completed) is greater than the (job quantity Released) - (operation quantity already Completed) - (total operation quantity Scrapped) - (transaction quantity Scrapped)
Completed is not equal to [25] for Job Transaction that has [Oper: 10]. This is the last operation and the (transaction quantity Completed) + (operation quantity already Completed) is not equal to (job quantity Released) - (total operation quantity Scrapped) - (transaction quantity Scrapped)
Complete? is equal to No for Job Transaction that has [Oper: 10]. This is the last operation and the (transaction quantity Completed) + (operation quantity already Completed) equals (job quantity Released) - (total operation quantity Scrapped) - (transaction quantity Scrapped) and an earlier operation is not Complete. This message displays only if a prior operation is not complete and is marked as a control point.
Qty Issued is not equal to [25] for Job Material that has [Item: FA-10000] and [Oper: 10]. This message appears if a location is entered for the Operation, and if, for each backflushed job material of each operation, the job material's quantity issued is not equal to its quantity required.
Qty Issued is less than [25] for Job Material that has [Item: FA-10000] and [Oper: 10]. This message appears if a location is entered for the operation, and if, for each NON-backflushed job material of each operation, the job material's Qty Issued is less than its Qty required.
Messages for Job Receipt and Job Receipt Error Processing
Message Description
At least one Job Transaction exists for Job. An unposted job transaction exists for the job or there is a record for the job in the system DC Error Processing file (dcsfc).
Not one Job Transaction exists for Job Operation that has Job: J000000010] and [Job Suffix: 0001] and [Oper: 10]. There are no posted job transaction records for the last operation of the job.
[52] is greater than [25] for Job that has [Job: J000000010-0001]. For the last operation for the job, (quantity to be received) + (job quantity completed) is greater than (operation quantity completed)
[24] is less than [25] for Job that has [Job: J000000010-0001]. For the last operation for the job, (quantity to be received) + (job quantity completed) is less than (operation quantity complete)
