This read-only checkbox shows whether a demand has any component shortages in the APS plan. If there are no shortages, the field is selected. If shortages exist, the field is not selected.
By default, only inventory is used to make this determination. However, if you select the Include Existing Supply Usage in Ready Calculation field, on the Planning Parameters form, existing supplies that have been firmed into orders or jobs are also used to determine component shortages.
