Working With Quotes
Set up Quote Template Data
- On the Quote
Templates form, specify an identifier and description for
the quote template.
- On the Quote
Template Sections form, add sections for the quote template,
and specify a description and quantity.
- On the Quote
Template Operations form, specify the operation type and code
for each section.
Create a Committed Formula
- Open the Operation Type Formula Workbench form.
- Select the operation and formula type.
- Select a row in the Base Factors, Section Factors, Operators, Constants,
or Operation Factors group boxes.
- Click Add Selection to Formula
to add the selected row to the Pending
Formula field.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have completed your formula.
- Click Commit to copy that formula into the Committed
Formula field.
Edit a Committed Quote
- Navigate to the committed formula you wish to edit.
- Click Retrieve Committed
to copy the committed formula and paste it into the Pending
Formula field.
- Edit the Pending Formula
field.
- Click Commit to copy that formula into the Committed
Formula field.
NOTE: Quote templates
are not required, but allow for the definition of data for common printing
industry jobs, which is used on the Printing Estimate Workbench
form.
