Scheduling

Use this form to generate a schedule for your shop floor. Before you can run the Scheduling activity:

• The Mongoose TaskMan service must be running. See theInfor SyteLine Installation Guide for more information.
• You must enter the appropriate parameters on the Shop Floor Control Parameters form. These parameters define the types of transactions that will be scheduled when you run the Scheduling activity, as well as the end of the time horizon for the schedule (defined by the Days to Schedule field).
• You must create the production alternative on the Planning Parameters form.
• The Use Planning Output for Scheduling planning parameter must not be selected. If this parameter is selected, you cannot open the Scheduling form (instead, you use the APS Planning activity to populate the scheduler output forms and reports).

Enter the desired date range and then click the Schedule button to start the activity. After it completes, you can view the scheduler output on the analysis and summary forms and reports.

Run this activity only at non-peak times when users are not likely to save changes to records used in the schedule. You can schedule this activity to occur at a non-peak time by entering it on the Background Queue, which is accessible from the Actions menu.
