Creating an Estimate Job

An estimate job contains information about the item being quoted, including quantity required and scheduled completion. However, it is not included in actual Shop Floor production schedules. Use the Estimate Job Orders form to create an estimate job.

  1. Select Actions > New to create a new estimate job order.
  2. Enter the appropriate data in the following fields:
  3. Select the Schedule tab. Enter the appropriate data in the following fields:
  4. Select the References tab. Enter the appropriate data in the following fields:
  5. When applicable, attach or cross reference the estimate job to a specific transfer, order, or blanket order. Select the Source button to create or go to the cross reference record. If the reference fields are blank, a new record will be added based on the reference type. After you set up the new transfer, order, or blanket order record, the estimate job record will be updated to reflect the cross reference.
  6. Select Actions > Save to save the new estimate job.
