Tracking Lot-Controlled Materials
You can trace lot numbers through multiple transaction or job levels.
You can trace lots forward, to determine the ultimate item in which a
lot-tracked item is included.
Using the Lots Form
To trace lots:
- On the Lots form, specify
the item and lot number to trace.
- Select the Lot Trace tab. The tab displays the root node of a tree.
- Click on nodes to expand the information. The tree initially shows
the source transaction of the lot/item. If that transaction is a job,
the tree includes additional nodes for any lot/item materials in that
job, as well as nodes for the source of those lot/items.
- Continue through the nodes until there are no more job sources,
or job sources with lot item materials.
Using the Lot Traceability Report
To trace lots:
- On the Lot Traceability Report
form, specify the range of items and lot numbers to include.
- In the Summary or Detail
field, specify:
- Summary to show only
the immediate source transaction.
- Detail to show the
detail of source jobs, where those jobs contain lot items that
themselves have a source. Additional levels are indented on the
report.
- Click Print.
