Importing and Exporting Critical Numbers

Follow these steps to import and export a critical number:

1. To import, log in to the database that does not contain the critical number. To export, log in to the database that contains the critical number.
2. Open the Critical Numbers Import/Export utility.
3. Specify a range for the Critical Number and Category.
4. Select the import or export directory location.
5. Select Category, Drilldown, or Snapshot to include them in the import or export.
6. Click Import or Export.

Naming Conventions

The export function creates XML files using these naming conventions:

• Critical Number Files: WBKPIs_####.xml (where # is the Critical Number)
• Snapshot data is imbedded in the Critical Number file
• Drilldown Files: WBDrilldowns_#####.xml (where # is the Drilldown Number)
• Category Files: WBCategories_CategoryName.xml

The import function references files using the same naming conventions.
