Handler Editing Options

Handler editing options are set in the User Preferences dialog box, on the Event System tab.

This option has to do with:

• The display of metadata in the Event Actions form for the Application Event System
• The behavior of the Event Handler Diagram form  

There are two modes:

• Normal
• In the Event Actions form, hides the metadata code display and sets the button to Show Details >>
• In the Event Handler Diagram form:
• Allows you to rapidly drag action nodes onto the diagram, without automatically opening the Event Actions form
• Hides any condition specifications
• Hides the node's sequence number
• Limits the display of hover tooltip text for each node  to the basic event action description
• Expert
• In the Event Actions form, displays the metadata code by default and sets the button to << Hide Details
• In the Event Handler Diagram form:
• Automatically opens the Event Actions form whenever you drag an event action node onto the diagram
• Displays any condition specifications
• Displays the node's sequence number
• Displays both the basic event action description and any parameters associated with the event action in the hover tooltip text
