Post Job WIP Move Transactions

The Post Job WIP Move Transaction form displays when you do a PO receipt that is cross-referenced to a job order. This interim form lets you move purchased items directly from a PO into a job operation in process, or, if this is the last operation, you can move finished goods into inventory.

If the parent item on the job is serial-tracked and you are moving a quantity into inventory, you can generate new serial numbers. If you are performing a negative PO Receipt, you can perform a withdrawal from inventory (which allows you to select new serial numbers).

To post a Job WIP Move Transaction, perform the following:

1. Create a cross reference on the Job Materials form.
2. Receive the cross-referenced material on the Purchase Order Receiving form.
3. Post the job wip transaction on the Post WIP Move Transaction form.
